This was a project form my Illustration class last school year; I only just now got ti back from my teacher's office. It's for the story "After I Fell in the River and Before I Drowned," which is about a dog that falls into a river twice; once as a puppy when he is rescued, and once later in life when he drowns. After he dies there's a section about him crawling around, trapped inside his own corpse under the water for a couple of weeks. I took some artistic license in speeding up his decay during that time so I wouldn't be drawing a rotting dog; that would have been too gross for the story.

NOTE: The story for this class assignment was called "After I Fell in the River and Before I Drowned" and is written by Dave Eggers. The copy our class used was in a collection of short stories, all by him. If you would like to read it, please try looking Mr. Eggers up in your local library!
