Although the breed for Summer is technically a Turkish Van cat (a breed that actually loves to swim!), this particular cat is a nod to the main character from my Children's Book Illustration project last year, Cat. With his tail intact, of course. ;)

I'm in love with this series- this one is my favourite thus far.

I love how you draw foliage, it's always so lush and vibrant and full of LIFE. Very summer-y. I also like how you painted the fish amongst the ripples of the water. Beautiful work, ma'am- like always!

Very cute, I love the atmosphere and the setting for the cat. :) When I see pictures of cats, they're always indoors etc-- kinda nice to see one enjoying the day.
