watercolor, 8x10"

An early concept of a moth faerie. Her clothing design has become more "natural" (as well as getting rid of the unintentional Lotr influence) and her own features are a little less human since I began this painting.

The scale of the pussy willows makes her a lot smaller than a regular human, but still a bit larger than the "final" design. Will I do a finished painting of the final design? Time will tell.

Quite amazing. How did you manage to paint the fur?
you are such an amazing artist :omg:
The textures in her hair are beautiful! I also love the moth wing patterns.

Wow, this is really lovely. Really wonderful colors and details!
The details on the fur and hair are simply incredible. And the overall character design is really lovely, particularly the moth patterns! It's got a Scandinavian feel to it. Not only that, the colors are perfect! I like just about everything about this piece.
Really like this watercolor alot. Great detail, the braid really stands out. So many tiny brushstrokes, how long did it take you to paint?
