Another experiment in gouache and watercolor. I discovered that my sponge pallet was a little moldy halfway through this (not something I've ever had a problem with before!), so hopefully the original painting won't grow mold as well. All the more reason to scan it into the computer! I'm going to sterilize the pallet-sponge with bleach and then boiling water. Hopefully that'll kill everything neatly.
The character is Taylor, who has shown up in some of my sketchbook pages as a young girl. She grew up for this image, but she still likes fish...

Is this the one with the goldfish ghost? Either way, it's very cool! Seriously, there aren't very many artists out there who can draw females with real personality, instead of "random pretty girl with no substance." (Well, Taylor is pretty, but it's the personality and facial expression that I notice first.)
Yep, that's the Taylor. In my mind, she's always been the kind of person with a big personality. She doesn't care that she's a daydreamer who's always saying weird things and talking to the walls.
I thought it might be a boy.
Reminds me of my best friend. But she's a girl.
But she could be a boy if she wanted to. We all could, I guess.
She likes fish too.
I love it.
You arted me happy.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
