Another experiment in gouache and watercolor. I discovered that my sponge pallet was a little moldy halfway through this (not something I've ever had a problem with before!), so hopefully the original painting won't grow mold as well. All the more reason to scan it into the computer! I'm going to sterilize the pallet-sponge with bleach and then boiling water. Hopefully that'll kill everything neatly.
The character is Taylor, who has shown up in some of my sketchbook pages as a young girl. She grew up for this image, but she still likes fish... |
