This semester I will be uploading pieces from my Senior thesis project. The theme I've chosen is classic poetry, and all of the paintings with be 8x10" vertical watercolors.
Poem: "Hope" is the Thing with Feathers, by Emily Dickinson "Hope" is the thing with feathers --
That perches in the soul --
And sings the tune without the words --
And never stops -- at all --
And sweetest -- in the Gale -- is heard --
And sore must be the storm --
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm --
I've heard it in the chillest land --
And on the strangest Sea --
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb -- of Me.

Absolutely beautiful, and a great interpretation of the poem! (and god, what a great poem you chose. I remember finding it in our EMODEATHDEATHSAD highschool lit textbook last year, and going "Now how did something good get in here?!")

Art thy affections roused, or dost thou flee? Thou shouldst aim well, lest I forsake thee If there be any ill, I shalt resolve it Look thee upon mine hook while mine DJ revolves it.
I love the water effect. How many pieces will you have to do for your thesis?

Serenity: Surprise! We invited the entire reaver population to the party!

I love it so much, I absolutely ADORE the way you treat watercolours. The simplicity of this, and the stylized water, plus the contrast of the warm orange brown of the bird agains the darker duller blue makes it all come together.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
