I'm starting a sort of complimentary series to bottled, inspired by old naturalists like Audubon and Beatrix Potter (if you aren't familiar with her more scientific illustration work you should check it out!). The series will indulge a lot of the weirder mythical critters I can find.

It's always a pleasure to look at your paintings. The details and the textures are always exquisite and the colors are harmonious.
Did you use acrylic paints for this piece? or is it a mixed media painting?

The texture is amazing! I especially like how her legs/roots are covered in root hairs. It along with the other details helps make her convincingly plantlike.
