I wanted to ask you something. Isn't the Moleskine paper very smooth and light? You're using watercolors on it, or is it another kind of paper?

Anyway, i really love your series, and especially the great colors you use.. These feathers are just beautiful!

The normal moleskine paper is very thin and smooth but I'm using a moleskine notebook that has been made with watercolor paper. They're a little scarcer than the other varieties, and the paper is thinner than normal watercolor paper, but it works very well. Look for a black-bound notebook with a very pale pink label; that's your watercolor moleskine. ;)

That's true, watercolor notebooks are as a general rule a little expensive. The moleskine ones are cheaper than the usual watercolor notebooks (probably because the paper is thinner, and because you can buy them smaller). I think mine was $8 for a small one.
